bloggers give back

One of the best things about this time of year is family.

Something about the season brings families closer together to celebrate- bonfires, hayrides, trick-or-treating, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even New Year's!

It is a time to be thankful for all of life's blessings, and a time to help those in need.

Enter Jalynn from "The Red Closet Diary," and creator of "Bloggers Give Back."
I was elated when she contacted me and asked me to be apart of this amazing charity!

We are raising money for two adorable little boys, Carson and Beckham, who have had the misfortune of being diagnosed with cancer and are continuing the fight.
You can read more about their journeys here.

Their stories are particularly near and dear to my heart for two reasons.  First of all, as a Memphian, my family and I work very closely with the Ronald McDonald House via St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Nothing is more heart breaking than seeing families struggling with the illness of a loved one.  Secondly, as an elementary school teacher, I cannot imagine one of my sweet babies dealing with this disease.

Jalynn, myself, and several other bloggers are joining forces to help raise money for these boys and their families. With your support and help, we can help make this a wonderful Christmas for these families.

Want to help?
Here's how!

We are trying to raise as much money as we can before December 6th!

1.) If you would like to donate, you can do so through the Paypal link on the Bloggers Give Back site, or at any local Wells Fargo bank under the name "Bloggers Give Back".
All proceeds will go to the families of these children.

2.) Unfortunately I do not live in the area- but some of you might!
On November 9, 2013 in Lehi, Utah- Bloggers Give Back is throwing a "Shop Our Closet" Event to raise money for the two families.  Bloggers will be selling their clothing, and donating all proceeds to the families.  There will also be sponsors donating merchandise that will also be put towards the donations.
If you cannot make it to the event, you are still able to donate clothing, which will be displayed with you and your blog's name!

If you are a blogger, and would like to be involved, please feel free to share the link button on my side bar or spread the word through a blog post!

Thank you so much for all of your love and support- let's help create a Christmas MIRACLE!
